This may surprise you, but tire pressure can go the longest way in a cyclist having a smooth, fast, and confidence inspiring ride on whatever terrain they tackle. At the same time, not many cyclists own this handy tool to help them check their tire pressure accuracy before heading out. We’ve got 2 great options we like a lot:
- Topeak D2 Smartgauge = $35 USD

Water Bottles
Price Range = $20-$40USD
There is a high chance that the cyclist in your life has been using the same (and likely dirty) water bottles for quite some time. They also could be using cheap water bottles and not realize how convenient a water bottle upgrade can be. Just make sure to buy 2 of whichever you choose because matching is important 😉
- Camelbak: Podium Water Bottle 24oz = $20 USD
- The quick squeeze nozzle will remove the fiddling with the cap and allows the rider to drink with ease. It has a locking function to avoid spillage in a bag and has an insulated option for warmer conditions.
- Bivo: Bivo One 21oz = $39 USD
- If you want to really treat them, look no further. These stainless steel bottles are bomb proof, anti slip to avoid them popping out, and you can drink from them without taking your eyes off the road. They also offer an insulated option too!

The Podium and Bivo are both available in insulated/non-insulated versions.
Training Program
Price range = $85-$300/year USD
If the cyclist you’re shopping for is performance oriented or enjoys guidance with their riding, a training program may be the perfect gift. There are a lot of online training programs out there that are highly regarded and with the cold months coming for most, it’s a great match for the indoor training season. These are typically monthly or annual sign ups so a gift card would allow them to register and get started.
- TrainerRoad = $209/year USD
- One of the best cycling specific training programs out there. TrainerRoad will build personalized training programs with the use of A.I. to help the rider achieve whatever goals they seek on the bike.
- Training Peaks = $125/year USD
- The one stop shop for customizable training programs for the type of endurance athlete they are. Many cyclists partake in other endurance sports and Training Peaks helps build a program that suits their individual needs.
- Dynamic Cyclist = $85/year USD
- A strength and mobility program for training off the bike. Many cyclists forget how important it is to do training outside of cycling. Dynamic Cyclist has an incredible program to improve overall fitness that will lead to higher performance on the bike.

Strength and mobility training with Dynamic Cyclist will further your potential on the bike.
Socks
Price range = $10-$50 USD
Socks, one of those things you don’t often think to buy, but a fresh pair will make your whole day better. Socks can be a huge part of a cyclist’s aesthetic on the bike, and some fresh white 6” socks always look good. If they are the type to spice it up more, there are tons of options for them too! The advent of aerodynamic socks can even bring some performance gains. We also highly recommend a nice pair of merino wool cycling socks if they ride in any cooler conditions.

DeFeet carry a wide range of socks from simple and sleek to bold and outrageous.
Torque Wrench
Price range = $90-$300 USD
If you are looking to splurge, a bike specific torque wrench is a gift a cyclist will always be grateful for. Many parts on a bike need to be tightened to a specific “torque” value. Without this tool, you run the risk of under or over tightening and potentially damaging your bike, or the bike malfunctioning while riding resulting in a crash. There is quite the selection of these tools and prices can get somewhat extravagant so here is our shortlist:
- Park Tool: Ratcheting Click-Type Torque Wrench = $90 USD
- Pedro’s: Demi II Torque Wrench = $219 USD
- Topeak: D-Torq Wrench = $299 USD

A torque wrench is something all avid cyclists should own.
